Bluetti, a major solar generation and power station maker, has a Matter smart plug S1 certified on Tuesday. It marks a sound move for the firm to expand its scope into the smart home market, like its rival EcoFlow.
The plug adopts the Matter-Over-Wi-Fi solution and adheres to the EU’s Type F standard. Its wide operational voltage range suggests that Bluetii may introduce the product to additional markets, such as Japan and North America.
According to the product description on the certification page, the Bluetti S1 Plug allows for control over Wi-Fi and includes features such as power measurement, safety protection, and switch control. The smart plug’s Matter certification is version 1.2, indicating that while it only supports basic integration with smart home platforms, the power monitoring functionality may be limited to the Bluetti app and not fully exposed to the Matter platforms.
As Bluetti continues to innovate in the smart home arena, the introduction of the S1 smart plug represents a strategic move to compete with established players and tap into the growing demand for smart home solutions.
